Gratitude for the Day

Seasons Change

It’s amazing how the senses are so connected to memory. There are things I will never do again because of how it made me feel, and there are others I want to do again and again… and again (and I'm just going to have to wait for it, but I digress). This is a rainy morning, and the smell of it reminds me of the day I walked into one of the most beautiful natural scenes in my entire life - it symbolized the change of season. It symbolized the promise of change and the beginning of harvest, reaping, reward, and rest. This day, I’m grateful for new beginnings, even late in the year, for cooler nights and cozy times, for restoration and the renewal of hope. I stand in gratitude for the reminder. I stand in gratitude for the day.
